How to get out of a job you don’t love anymore
I’ve been chatting with a handful of friends recently who are in jobs they aren’t in love with.
In most cases, they’re engaging a skillset they enjoy using, in a job that they once loved but the nature of either their role or their company’s culture has changed in the years that they’ve been there.
As a result, they are feeling less engaged than they used to be, but still going through the motions because they’ve been at it a while, and aren’t sure what else to do.
For some friends, the pain is undeniable.
They know that they’re capable of so much more.
They know that their role has been eroding their confidence.
And they know it it’s time to do something else.
For others it’s more of an itch.
It hasn’t yet grown into a deep existential angst.
They’re looking around.
And having conversations, despite having self-doubt.
Note if anyone reading is in a position similar to either of these, I’m working on a new program to help you reconnect to whatever the dream is that most lights you up.
It’s called the Dream Activator, and it’s a must for anyone who has lost touch with a dream they once held dear.
And best of all it’s going to be a free program.
This is because I’m trying to get the word out to more people about the programs I’ve been developing with my friend Matt Gangi, a guy who went from building rockets for Elon Musk at SpaceX to becoming a social media influencer and healer. (Because this is what working for Elon musk does to you and I can also speak from first-hand experience on this)
If you’re interested in the idea of making change in any area of your life, but especially career, this program will help you unpack your thinking and better understand your emotions around any change you’re either navigating or headed towards.
It will also inspire you to dream big by asking you questions that will lead you to imagining the most remarkable life you could possibly be living:

The way to get out of a job you don’t love starts with something very simple, but not necessarily easy…
Coming back home to yourself.
For those of us who care a lot and are driven by doing a good job and being impressive, we are the types that give more to our employers than they give to us.
It’s important to acknowledge what you’ve given to your employer.
Where you’ve handed parts of yourself away.
Then remind yourself that you’re valuable and smart enough to do anything you desire.
When we’ve been in a particular role or even career path for an extended period of time, it becomes easy to believe that there’s not much else we can do.
Especially once we reach a certain age.
If you need help coming back to your self-worth, practice placing your hand on your heart and tell yourself that you’re worthy of the life you desire.
Do this regularly.
